Turkey’s first acid fracturing unit has successfully completed all factory acceptance tests and been delivered to the client in July 2018.
The unit, designed for fracturing operations, has a mass of 32.700,kg and dimensions of 13.200mm (length)x2990mm (width)x4023mm (height). It has a pressure rating of 15.000psi realized by its 1250HP Triplex Gardner Denver GD1250 pump. Lubrication system is designed as close-loop, where the pistons are further lubricated with an automated SKF grease lubrication system that adjusts to working conditions. Power is provided by twin 12-cylinder Detroit Diesel engines coupled with Allison 5860 automatic transmissions. These motors work in tandem, connected through a Petrotek custom-built coupling-gearbox.
The unit also contains a chrome-nickel displacement tank, containing 2 compartments of 25bbl volume each. Suction from external sources can be realized standalone – without requiring external machinery - via integrated twin Mecapump 6x5 centrifugal pumps.
Operational information such as pump strokes per minute and total pumped fluid volume can be monitored from the programmable digital screen. Similarly, a single operator can use the central control panel to command the high pressure valves via hydraulic actuators and the low pressure valves via pneumatic actuators.
